The new update has by design created some new ways to stall users from getting through the game that are inherently illogical to the rules and overall story of the game, and inconsistent with the poor excuse given for the removal of trading enchanted treasure cards from the game.
The poor excuse originally posted by Merle Ambrose (In Game Head Master of Ravenwood) "The trading of enchanted cards was never intended; it was an error on our part that players were able to use this system to gain access to spells they were never suppose to receive. ... The problem is, this may seem like a minor issue, but it is not. This one oversight fundamentally dilutes the unique nature of each class. Replicating these spells creates a huge imbalance in our system ..." blah blah blah with continued babbling of more nonsense from Kings Isle to justify this change. Along these lines, let us look at the following "game enhancements" which have recently been added for users pleasure.
Response from Kings Isle: The monsters cheat. More like the programmers are lazy because they do not know the game or the underlying story line. If you are going to throw out the rules of the game, Wizard101 is no longer has a game. Instead is a free for all where only users are limited.
Speaking of limiting users, the change to disallow trade of enchanted cards had one major change to game play. The cost for these spells just went up at least 10 times, IF they could even be found within the game. I have one question for our ailing head master (when he has a moment of clarity), where are all the NPCs of the game getting those out-of-school perfect-hitting treasure cards I am being hit with around the spiral.
AGAIN, the game is no longer a game, but simply a free for all.
